ich bin Florian Menold, Vertreter des Heidelberger RK, dem ältesten deutschen Rugbyverein.
Wir sind auf der Suche nach Rugbyspielern aus Australien / Neuseeland, die uns in Deutschland für 6 oder 12 Monate unterstützen wollen.

WIr haben die Möglichkeit, Praktikumsplätze in einem Industriebetrieb zu vermitteln.

Anbei gebe ich einen Überblick über unser Angebot für Sportler bei uns im Verein. Wir sind im speziellen auf der Suche nach guten Spielern, die möglichst einen deutschen Pass haben, und wir somit keine Visaprobleme in D. haben.

[font size=3]We are looking for players for the next season beginning in August, please see our general Information below and feel free to ask questions if needed.

1. The Heidelberger RK 1872 e.V.:
The Heidelberger RK is a combined rugby and rowing club. We have about 700 members, whereoff 250 are rugby players.
We own two club houses, both with sauna and gym - possibilities. The rugby house also has a pool, which is in process of renovation at the moment.
The HRK is the oldest club in germany and was also quite successfull in the past. We actually have the vision of reestablisihing as a strong rugby club in germany.
We have a lot of young players and juniors that perform quite well in german youth rugby.
The first team plays in the second german division, actually on top of the table with the target to get through to the first division this summer.
To support and develop the club rugby, we are looking for young players from abroad, that support us in the back line and the forwards.
Primarily we are looking for Props, Locks, 3rd row, scrum half and wings.

2. The city of Heidelberg

Heidelberg is situated about 80km south of Frankfurt International Airport. The river "Neckar" goes directly through Heidelberg and is a famous area for relaxing in summer.The beautifull castle of Heidelberg is one special sight. Heidelberg has one of the oldest universities in Germany, according to this a lot of pubs, young people and so on. 3. Our offer for you as a player for HRK:

- We will assist you in finding a job either
-> qualified job at our sponsos company
or -> job as an industrial worker or sth. else
=> This is depending on your education and interest .
=> We are not able to promise that you will get a job in the sponsors company

- We will provide free accomodation (room in flat with cooking facilities, that will have to be shared with other players)
- 250,- EUR pocket money (until you will have a job and receive your own salary) => You will have to care about food for yourself as soon as you have a job
- Reimbursement for flight expenses, as soon as you arrived in Germany
- free public transport as long as you do not receive your own salary, after that you will have to pay for that yourself
- Free Health Insurance
- Visa will be organized by the company
=> we could assist with formulars to fill in your cv - details for the job application



4. The job at the sponsors company.

The company might be able to employ you as a practical trainee in different departements. It depends on your qualification and on the demand of the company.

Areas of employment could be Marketing and Sales, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Advertising, Logistics, Human Ressources or Administration.

=> For a successfull job application, we would need a detailed reference / CV about the areas you have already worked in and what kind of eductaion you have received / fullfilled.

5. The Rugby Season in Germany

The new season will start in August. As we expect and wish, we will then play in the first division and parallel to the league games, we will have some test matches and cup games.
We will start with the preseason practice latest in july, that means, we would expect you in Germany about mid - July or end of july.
The season will last until the beginning of december, then there will be a match break until mid of february, after that we start playing again. The practice will start at the beginning of January again.
The second half of the season starts (as mentioned above) in February and ends in June.

6. Yourself / You wishes and expectations

For us, it is quite impotant to know your wishes and expectations from Germany and especially from playing rugby in Germany.
Feel free to ask further questions before you make a decision yourself. We want to discuss all important issues in advance, so that there is no lack of Information or some kind of missunderstanding for one side in the negotiations.

7. Further steps / what do we need from yourself.

- We would ask kindly for all your wishes and expectations as mentioned above and try to fullfill them in the above written conditions.

For the processing of players passport, our own database and the beginning of the application process at the company we will need the follwing things / documents:
- Your Age, height and weight
- Clearance form your old club
- Picture for the passport per email
- Copy of your passport per email
- signed players application form (you will recive this from myself in the near future)
- Your working / education CV
- The date of availability
